The young batter hit 11 sixes in his knock along with two boundaries that saw the Unicorns score 219 runs on the board. McGurk hit Shadley van Schalkwyk for four successive sixes. The first six came in the third ball of the fifth over when McGurk pulled the bowler over the backward square leg region for a six.

The second six soon followed as the batter hit the ball over the deep mid-wicket region. The third six of the over was one of the best shots of the day. McGurk played an amazing shot over the extra cover region that had the fans in complete awe. LAKR bowler van Schalkwyk conceded the fourth six of the over when McGurk hit his second shot over the deep mid-wicket region for a huge hit.

Unmukt Chand’s fifty goes in vain for LA Knight Riders

Sunil Narine won the toss and put San Francisco Unicorns into bat first. Tim Seifert was out for five runs when the batter was caught by Narine off van Schalkwyk. Finn Allen, who had scored a century in the last game, was at the top of the game once again. Allen was out after scoring 52 runs off 27 balls with five boundaries and four sixes.

The second wicket pair of McGurk and Allen added 121 runs from just nine overs. Narine then dismissed Finn Allen on the second ball of the 11th over, while McGurk was out to van Schalkwyk, caught by Alex Hales. Cooper Connolly was not out on 20, while Haris Rauf’s 16 not out helped the Unicorns score 219 runs.
