The highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is just a few days away. The tournament will begin with the inaugural game between the hosts and defending champions, Pakistan and Mitchell Santner’s New Zealand. Both teams will play the tournament opener on February 19, at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently launched the official anthem for the upcoming prestigious cricket quadrennial. The song has been sung by the renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam.
The apex governing body of cricket shared a video of the official anthem on its official Instagram handle. The video is also going viral on social media.

Notably, it will be the ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy since the tournament’s inception 27 years back in 1998. It will be the tournament's second edition without having the two-time ODI World Champions West Indies.
The eight participating in the tournament are divided into two groups, with four teams each in Group A and Group B. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand are placed in pool A of the tournament. On the other hand, Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa are in group B.
The tournament will be played in Pakistan and Dubai as BCCI refused to let Team India travel to Pakistan for the tournament. This turned into the fact that the men in blue would play all their matches in Dubai.
The arch-rivals, India and Pakistan will take on each other in the high-octane clash on February 23, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Before that, India will kick off their journey in the tournament with their campaign opener against Bangladesh on February 20, at the DICS in Dubai.
