The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 has taken a different turn on day two of the 1st Test match in Perth. India almost sent the entire Australian team back to the dugout but are struggling hard to dismiss Mitchell Starc, who is batting comfortably on 22 runs in 83 balls. None of the Indian bowlers are able to dismiss him as he is defending the balls confidently.

In between this, Starc had a friendly banter with his Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) teammate Harshit Rana. Seeing Starc batting for a long time, Rana delivered the ball with a greater speed. After some time, Starc called Rana and told him that he could bowl faster than him and had a good memory. It sounded like a little warning for Rana as Starc will be bowling in the second innings.

Watch the video here:

Harshit Rana did well with the ball, taking two wickets in the first innings. His first Test wicket was Travis Head, who looked settled for a while. But Rana did well in sending him back to the dugout.  Australia are trailing by 51 runs with Starc and Josh Hazelwood out on the crease.

India's fighting comeback with the ball against Australia was magnificent

On the first day of the Test match, Australia bowled out India under 200 runs. The visitors could only manage to score 150 runs in the first innings after choosing to bat first. But when Australia came to bat, Indian bowlers were terrific throughout the innings. It was a great comeback and display of sportsmanship from the Indian lads.

Jasprit Bumrah was phenomenal throughout the day, claiming a fifer. He sent all the best batters back into the pavilion, making things easier for the other bowlers. Australian batters tried to defend the bowlers but failed massively. The game's thrill has just begun with Mitchell Starc failing to give his wicket. If India bowls Australia out with 150 runs, they will have some runs on the board when they go out to bat.
