Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya was the hero for Baroda during the Syed Mushtaq Ali game against Bengal. The 31-year-old scored 10 runs with the bat and picked 3/27 from his quota of four overs. Pandya also took three crucial catches to complete an amazing day on the field.
Mumbai Indians skipper first dismissed Ritwik Chowdhary for 29 runs. The Bengal batter scored his runs from 18 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Pandya then got the wickets of Sakshaim Choudhary and Mohammed Shami in the same over. The Indian all-rounder also took the catches of Abhishek Porel, Pradipta Pramanik, and Shahbaz Ahmed to help Baroda win by 41 runs.

Earlier in the day, Baroda batted first and scored 172/7 from their 20 overs. Shashwat Rawat was the top scorer with 40 runs from 26 balls with one four and 3 sixes. Abhimanyu Singh played a sedate knock to score 37 runs from 34 balls. Shivalik Sharma gave the final push with 17-ball 24 runs with one four and 2 sixes.
Ajinkya Rahane’s 84 helps Mumbai reach the final four
Mumbai have made their way to the final four stages of the tournament after beating Vidarbha in a high-scoring game. Vidarbha batted first and scored 221/6 from their 20 overs. Atharva Taide was the top scorer with 66 runs from 51 balls with 10 fours and a six. Apoorva Wankhede scored 51 off 33 balls, while Shubham Dubey scored 43 not out from just 19 balls.
Skipper Ajinkya Rahane scored 84 runs from just 45 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes. He was ably supported by Prithvi Shaw, who smashed a quick-fire 49 off 25 balls. Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer failed to fire with the bat as the pair scored 9 and 5 runs each. Suryansh Shedge and Shivam Dube ensured there were no further hiccups as Mumbai won by 6 wickets.
In the other game on Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh beat Saurashtra by 6 wickets to move into the semi-finals. Chirag Jani’s 80 not out helped Saurashtra reach 173/7 from their 20 overs. The veteran star scored his runs from 45 balls with 8 fours and 4 huge sixes.
Madhya Pradesh got a good start with opener Arpit Gaud scoring 42 runs from 29 balls. Venkatesh Iyer scored an unbeaten 38 runs from 33 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Skipper Rajat Patidar contributed with 28 key runs from 18 balls, while Harpreet Bhatia scored 22 not out from 9 balls.
