Indian cricket stars Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami were part of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. There is a fifteen-second video doing the rounds where Hardik and Shami can be seen standing a bit farther from each other. The two stars didn’t even lock eyes as both were busy chatting with people nearby.

Once the video made the rounds people started to speculate if the two stars were on good terms. Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami played alongside each other for two years at Gujarat Titans. There was a much-publicized event where then-skipper Pandya could be seen getting angry at Shami with the bowler responding.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India opened up the new National Cricket Academy facility. The state-of-the-art facility is now being called the BCCI Centre of Excellence. There are new features that have been incorporated that make the NCA one of the best in the world.

What are the new features of the National Cricket Academy?

The new National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru will have state-of-the-art facilities. There are 3 grounds as not just the cricketers but also the Olympic aspirants and athletes will be using the facilities.

There are nearly 100 pitches for the players to practice on and each of the grounds is of international quality. While the Green Park Stadium may be getting called out, the new NCA will have drainage facilities which are termed world-class. In case rain plays spoilsport there is also an indoor arena for players to practice.

Furthermore, there is a separate analytical room along with new-age rehabilitation centres. Injured players can not only get fit in time but also there will be detailed studies to prevent such injuries.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is set to return to the field during the home series against Bangladesh. The 30-year-old has been named in the 15-member squad for the T20I series that is set to begin on 6th October.
