Back in 2018, KKR brought him for INR 50 lakhs, and until 2023, he didn't get fair chances to prove his worth. However, things turned drastically in 2023 when he hit those five sixes off Yash Dayal against Gujarat Titans to win the game in the last over. It was a magnificent match that brought him to the limelight, and he hasn't stopped since then.
He got his maiden call-up from the Indian team and has scored consistently wherever he got chances. Rinku Singh has now registered himself as one of the best-emerging finishers for India and has almost cemented his place in the T20I team.
In IPL 2023, in 14 games, he scored 474 runs at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52 with four half-centuries. That was the start of his wonderful career. However, his IPL 2024 season didn't go that well since he got fewer chances to bat due to the Impact Player Rule.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have released their retention list ahead of the mega auction 2024. The franchise has retained six players from the previous squad, including Rinku Singh.
