Former India and Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni was seen attending Rishabh Pant’s sister’s wedding. The 43-year-old is set to play for Chennai Super Kings in what could be his 18th and final season of the Indian Premier League. Dhoni who is known to be reticent when it comes to using phone’s made it a special day for one fan.
In a short video that is circulating on social media, one cricket fan can be seen on a video call with Dhoni himself. The fan could be heard saying what a big fan he was and Dhoni was heard being cordial in the short conversation. The fan in question was later seen celebrating with his friends as soon as the former India and CSK skipper cut the call.
Over the last few days, MSD as he is fondly called as seen dancing with Pant and Raina during the wedding celebration of Sakshi Pant. The 43-year-old was also seen singing songs with his wife. Dhoni will link up with the rest of his teammates as Chennai get ready to face Mumbai Indians in their first match of the season.

Ruturaj Gaikwad heads into his second season as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings side. MS Dhoni was retained as an uncapped player while the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Matheesha Pathirana, and Gaikwad himself were retained by the side. last year, CSK lost to RCB in the final league match of the season to be knocked out in the group stages.
Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is back with CSK as his Devon Conway, and Rachin Ravindra. Chennai have also brought Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad along with stars like Nathan Ellis, Jamie Overton, and Sam Curran. Indian talents like Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj, and Khaleel Ahmed are also part of the team.
Chennai Super Kings had a mixed season last year despite coming in as the defending champions. CSK began with two wins before losing to Delhi Capitals and then going on to lose against Hyderabad. This was followed by wins over Kolkata and Mumbai followed by loss to Lucknow, home and away. The constant losses at home and away meant that Chennai slipped down the table and weren’t able to make it to the playoffs.
