Chittagong Kings won the Qualifier 2 by two wickets against the Khulna Tigers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025.

The BPL 2025 has reached an interesting stage where the Khulna Tigers and Chittagong Kings played in the Qualifier 2. Moreover, the Kings won the game by just two wickets, advancing to the finals. Playing for the Kings, Binura Fernando dismissed the captain of the Tigers in the third over of the game and gave him a death stare while sending him off. It was a very good delivery from the bowler and Hasan failed to read it.

He tried to hit the ball for a six but ended up getting bowled. He was the first wicket for the Kings, and it came at the right time. Hasan is a dangerous batter and has the ability to hit huge sixes for the team. His wicket in the powerplay cost them the match. It was the Kings' decision to bowl first after winning the toss in the most important game. It was very risky to bowl first, as chasing in high-intensity games is always difficult.

The Kings were successful enough in getting early wickets of the top-order batters, leaving the team in dismay. However, Shimron Hetmyer came to the team's rescue and scored a magnificent knock of 63 runs off 33 ballsing, including six boundaries and four sixes. Mahidul Islam Ankon also scored 41 runs in 32 balls, including one boundary and three sixes. The team reached 163 runs in the first innings.

Aliss Al Islam's all-round performance led Chittagong Kings towards victory

While chasing a score of 164 runs in Qualifier 2, Chittagong Kings did it with perfection as opener Khawaja Nafay scored a marvellous half-century, giving them the perfect start they needed. While the wickets kept tumbling from the other end, Hussain Talat also made sure he contributed for the benefit of the team. 

However, Aliss Al Islam's resilience in the end helped the Kings move to the finals after winning the game by two wickets. He scored 17 runs off seven balls, including two boundaries and one six. He was awarded the Player of the Match trophy for his all-round performance, as he picked up one wicket and conceded just 14 runs in the first innings.
