Pakistani spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali decimated England to put their team on the cusp of a huge win. Ben Stokes tried his best to take the fight to the opposition but the England skipper lost his wicket in a rash manner. Veteran left-arm spinner Noman Ali did the trick as he put his team on the doorstep of a huge win.

Ben Stokes had welcomed Noman Ali with a four off the 1st ball to start the 28th over of the innings. In the very next ball, Stokes came down the track losing for a huge shot. Ali beat the England skipper in the flight as Stokes lost his bat. Mohammad Rizwan took off the bails to complete the easiest of stumping chances.

It was a huge wicket for Pakistan as the left-handed batter was out for 37 runs from just 36 balls. His knock contained four boundaries as the home team flanked the veteran star who had completed an impressive fifer. At the time of writing, England were 133/7 still needing 164 runs with Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts batting together.

England started the day at 36/2 still needing 261 runs to win the 2nd Test and complete a series win. Sajid Khan had dismissed Ben Duckett for a 2nd ball duck while Noman Ali had the wicket of Zak Crawley out stumped by Rizwan for 3.

Having added just 1 run to their overnight score, England lost the key wicket of Ollie Pope for 22. The English number 3 batter gave Sajid Khan an easy catch to be out for 22. This was Khan’s 9th wicket of the game having picked 7/111 in the 1st innings.

It was then the Noman Ali show as he dismissed Joe Root for 18 and Harry Brook for 16. Both the batters were out LBW and the duo opted to go for DRS only to find the decision stand in favor of the Pakistani bowlers. Jamie Smith was out for 6 when he was caught by Shan Masood. Brydon Carse then became Noman’s 6th wicket as he was caught by Agha Salman for 27 with England’s score reading 138/8.
