Bangladesh A and New Zealand A were taking on each other in the third and last unofficial ODI of the three-match series. Meanwhile, what attracted the eyeballs was a schoolboy wicketkeeping error committed by the Bangladesh A wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan in the second innings when the visitors were chasing the target of 227 runs.

It all happened on the fifth ball of the fifth over when Kiwi openers were there in the middle, and Nurul Hasan was seen taking a comical wicketkeeping position in the first slip cordon. The bowler bowled the ball in the usual line of the stumps where wicketkeepers normally stand behind the wickets.

As Hasan was awkwardly standing in the first slip region, the ball went on to hit the helmet and went on to cost the hosts 5 runs for as a penalty. The video of Nurul Hasan’s childish blunder behind the wickets also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).
