The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will witness the massive reverse fixture between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings. Despite the threat of rain on Saturday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, fans are expected to flock in a bid to watch their favourite stars in action. One of the names looking forward to watching the game is none other than badminton champion PV Sindhu.
RCB posted a short video on their social media handle where a short interview with PV Sindhu took place. When asked to name her ideal mixed doubles partner from the RCB team, Sindhu took Virat Kohli’s name. The noted badminton star said, “Of course, I would pick Virat Kohli; he’s my favourite, and he is amazing. I would pick Kohli as my mixed doubles partner.”
PV Sindhu was also asked about the crowd in Bengaluru, to which she said, “The crowd here (in Bengaluru) is amazing and terrific. We can’t actually hear what the other person is saying.” During the course of the chat, Sindhu was asked if she was a cricketer what her preferred role would be, to which the Badminton star said, “Would love to be a batter, so that I can smash it just like am doing it in badminton.”
Chance for RCB to seal their playoff spot
The game on Saturday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium will be huge for Rthe RoyalChallengers Bengaluru side. Win over Chennai Super Kings will mean that RCB have more or less secured a spot in the playoffs. Rajat Patidar and his men will move to the top of the points table with 16 points.
When the two sides met earlier this season, it was RCB who went on to win the game by 50 runs. This was their first win at the MA Chidambaram Stadium since 2008. Skipper Rajat Patidar had top scored with the bat with 51 runs from 32 balls. Veteran seamer Josh Hazlewood was the best bowler with figures of 3/21 from his four overs.
Chennai Super Kings, who were knocked out of the tournament post the loss to Punjab Kings will want to end their season on a high. MS Dhoni could be potentially playing his final game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium against RCB. Last season Bengaluru beat Chennai on the final day of the season to pip the Men in Yellow for a place in the playoffs.
