Australia have taken a strong lead in the ongoing Women's Ashes 2025 against England. The games are played in Australia and they have won all three ODIs. Now, they have six points and they are just two points away from winning the Ashes. In the third ODI, Ashleigh Gardner took a spectacular catch of Sophie Ecclestone on the third ball of the 41st over.
It was one of the best catches in the history of Women's cricket and will be remembered for a long time. Ecclestone tried to go for a slog sweep and the ball went towards deep mid-wicket. Gardner judged it wrong but somehow managed to get hold of the ball. She was standing just a few meters away from the rope and when the ball slipped out of her hands, she juggled with the catch but eventually got hold of it inside the boundary.

Great to contribute and get the win: Ashleigh Gardner
Australia's terrific batter, Ashleigh Gardner, scored 102 runs in 102 balls, including eight boundaries and one six. It was a good knock by the middle-order batter, who even took a fabulous catch. She was quite happy with her efforts and that the team won the game.
"Great to contribute and get the win. I haven’t scored too many centuries throughout my life so to do it for my country was special. Then to see my teammates come out and play like that was so nice to get to that milestone and it was pretty emotional," said Ashleigh Gardner.
