In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024, team India did well with the ball, taking nine wickets within 70 runs. However, they struggled against Mitchell Starc who wasn't ready to throw away his wicket. He played until the last moment, scoring 26 runs in 112 balls. Interestingly, at that time, Starc played the highest number of balls in the game since batters from both teams were dismissed earlier than expected.

The players took a sigh of relief after Starc's wicket as India led by 46 runs. A video went viral on social media where Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah's wife, Anushka Sharma and Sanjana Ganesan were seen cheering for the team after Starc's dismissal. Anushka had a bright smile on her face when she said, 'Finally' while Sanjana was busy clapping for the Indian team.

Jasprit Bumrah was quite fantastic in the innings claiming a fifer. Along with him, Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana bowled well too. They disturbed the batters and didn't give them space to hit the ball. Australia were all out for 104 runs, which is their fourth-lowest total in Test cricket since 2000.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul annoy Australian bowlers with their presence on day two

Indian openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal have glued their presence on the crease in the 1st Test match against Australia. Each scored their respective half-century by the end of Day 2.

The players have taken over Perth and are playing quite confidently. This is the game all the Indian audience were hoping for. The pitch has lost its charm now and the pacers are struggling to take wickets. It seems like the series has started on a good note for the visitors. If they continue to play on this note, they can easily go up to 300 runs, making it even more difficult for Australia to chase it.
