The ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 has been quite entertaining for the audience, with all sorts of exciting moments in almost every contest. In the recent game between Barbados Royals vs Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, Alick Athanaze was run out but in an unfortunate manner. He collided with Quinton de Kock while coming to take a run.

Both batters ran to take a run and didn't even realize that they were coming onto each other. Because of the confusion, they collided. Athanaze was running from the non-striker end and failed to complete the run as Sam Billings directly hit the stumps, he had to go back to the pavilion. Moreover, Alick was a set batter, batting on 34 runs off 29 balls including three boundaries and one six. 

The Falcons scored 176 runs in the first innings, where top-order batters wreaked havoc on the bowlers. Justin Greaves scored an unbeaten 61 runs off 52 balls, while Sam Billings scored 56 runs off 43 balls. In the second innings, it rained heavily, and the match resumed after a while, but the pouring started again, and hence, the result was declared as per the DLS method, where the Royals were leading by 10 runs.  

Quinton de Kock's fierce innings led to Royals' victory

In the 13th game of the CPL 2024, Quinton de Kock scored a brilliant 48 runs off 30 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes. His red-hot form helped the Royals to clinch a much-needed victory against the Falcons by 10 runs. The match was abandoned due to rain, and the DLS method declared the result.

The Royals are unbeaten in the tournament with three wins in three matches and are in the 2nd place. On the other hand, the Falcons have played seven matches and won only two out of them. Hence, they are in the fourth position of the points table.
