Rachin Ravindra departs early in the ongoing 1st match of the ODI Tri-Series, happening in Pakistan. The hosts got an early breakthrough in the form of Will Young who was dismissed on four runs. After his wicket, the Blackcaps looked a bit stable with Rachin and Kane Williamson on the crease. However, Abrar Ahmed came in and dismissed Rachin Ravindra after he slammed a boundary on the previous ball.
Abrar pitched up the ball and Rachin went to hit it but was caught by the bowler itself. It was a low catch and Abrar made no mistake. As the batter started to depart to the pavilion, the bowler was seen shouting out of excitement and frustration. After Rachin, Williamson and Daryll Mitchell formed a partnership.

Williamson scored 58 runs in 89 balls while Mitchell is playing on 61 runs, as we write. New Zealand decided to bat first but it didn't go in their favor. After many years, a Tri Series is being held in Pakistan and the management would want to keep the trophy this time.
Shaheen Afridi turns into nightmare for New Zealand batters
In the ongoing game, New Zealand lost a few early wickets thanks to the breakthrough given by Shaheen Afridi. He first dismissed Will Young and then went on to dismiss Kane Williamson when he was batting on 58 runs. He got the support from his teammates Abrar Ahmed and Haris Rauf, who took one wicket each.
Currently, Mitchell and Glenn Phillips are batting on the crease. The Blackcaps need a lot of runs on the board for the opponents. This series will help the teams prepare for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, which will start on February 19.
