India's wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul opened up about his visit to the 'Koffee with Karan' show and teammate Hardik Pandya a few years ago. The episode was absolutely controversial and filled with sexist comments; hence, both players were briefly expelled from the Indian team. However, after the episode and the whole scene with the Board, Rahul revealed that it wasn't a good experience for him.

During the interview with Nikhil Kamath, Rahul opened up about how the interview changed him as a person. Rahul said, "The interview was a different world. That changed me. Completely changed me. I was a very shy, soft-spoken boy growing up. Then I played for India and became very confident, I had no problem being in a huge group of people. People will know I have been in a room of 100 people because I would talk to everyone."

It was also a bad outing for Hardik Pandya since he was expelled and had to go through a lot of trolling. Their statements portrayed the team management in a wrong way, which affected their inclusion in the Indian team. However, whether it was Rahul's mistake or Hardik's, that's a pretty debatable and controversial topic to begin with and each person will have their own opinion. Now that everything is done and dusted and players have moved on in their lives, the episode has definitely left a scar in the lives of the players.

KL Rahul set to play in Duleep Trophy 2024

KL Rahul is all prepared and set to play in the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024 in September. He was also seen practicing in the nets a few days ago, which showed his passion for his game. He is on Team A and will play Shubman Gill's captaincy. Moreover, the first match will be in his hometown, Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru which is definitely good news for him.

While the Board is planning on taking players from the domestic league for the upcoming Bangladesh series, it's a good opportunity for Rahul to showcase his talent and hit a few centuries, making his place concrete in the Indian Test team.
