Former legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar received the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award from Jay Shah in the BCCI Naman Awards 2025. He was honored by former BCCI secretary and current ICC Chairman Jay Shah. While talking towards the stage, Tendulkar received a standing ovation from the entire crowd, which was a wholesome moment to watch. During the awards ceremony, he spoke about the importance of values in his life and how much it shaped him as a cricketer.
Sachin Tendulkar said, "In the mid 90s, I took a stand and played for two years without a bat contract due to alcohol and tobacco promotions. My family, especially my parents, guided me to make such decisions. Values were always at the core of my journey".
Sachin is one of the best cricketers in the whole world, with tons of scores across formats. Modern-day cricketers like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma grew up watching the man slam centuries and win games for his team. Moreover, he is still the highest run-scorer in Test cricket, with 15921 runs in 200 games. Overall, he has 100 centuries together in Test and ODIs under his name as well. However, it's just Kohli, who is around 19 centuries less than him.
I sometimes do get angry while driving in the Mumbai traffic: Hardik Pandya
All-rounder Hardik Pandya spoke about how much he hates Mumbai traffic during a conversation with Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodriguez, and Rohit Sharma at the BCCI Awards. Pandya also mentioned the importance of training and what he does before a game.
"I sometimes do get angry while driving in the Mumbai traffic. I had the kick in me from the start to hit big sixes. I have always believed in training well. I have always played the match in the nets before actually going into the match. As I grew stronger, the results showed, and God has been in my side," said Hardik Pandya.
