Rajasthan Royals (RR) are currently playing their fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) game of the season against Gujarat Titans. The former IPL winners came into the game on the back of two successive wins in the tournament. Mood was upbeat in the camp as the players were seen enjoying time with each other on the bus.

Ahead of the game, RR were placed seventh in the IPL 2025 table as they faced second-placed Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. There was just one change made by RR, as Wanindu Hasaranga missed the game and Fazalhaq Farooqi replaced him. Jofra Archer gave the Royals a great start to the game when he got the wicket of Shubman Gill for two runs.

Sai Sudharsan was joined by former England skipper Jos Buttler and the pair added 80 runs for the second wicket. That stand came in 67 balls before Buttler was out LBW to Maheesh Theekshana for 36. The pair battled fire with fire as both Buttler and Sudharsan went after the RR bowlers. Sudharsan hit two sixes in the powerplay overs to take the Titans to 59 for one after six overs.

Buttler, who was welcomed to the crease with a terrific short ball, showed his class with five exquisite boundaries. In the final ball of the 10th over, Buttler went for a pull shot and missed the line of the ball and was given out LBW to give RR a chance to come back to the game.

Shahrukh Khan then came out swinging as he hit Fazalhaq Farooqi for two successive fours. The right-handed batter then hit Tushar Deshpande for a six in the 13th over of the innings. Royals bowlers then struck as they first got rid of Shahrukh Khan for 36 off 20 balls and then Sandeep Sharma dismissed Sherfane Rutherford for seven.
