Former Australian cricketer Daniel Christian reveals his top two finalists for the Champions Trophy 2025. As per the former cricketer, India and Australia will lock horns in the finals of the tournament. Both the teams are in terrific form. While Australia haven't qualified for the semi-finals yet, India have won two games and are through to the semi-finals.
"Australia played good cricket [v England in the CT]. They weren’t at their best in Sri Lanka, but ICC tournaments bring out the best in the Australian team. They looked in great nick the other night. Even though England got past 350, the Australian bowlers were pretty good particularly without [Mitchell] Starc, [Josh] Hazlewood and [Pat] Cummins, three of the best in the world. When they keep playing like that, there’s every chance of an India-Australia final," said Daniel Christain as quoted by Mid-Day.
It will be interesting to see who will qualify for the semi-finals from Group A since the Australia vs South Africa clash was washed out due to rain and they were given one point each. Moreover, in the game between England and Afghanistan, the team that loses will be eliminated from the tournament.

What are the chances of having India vs Australia in finals?
If we look at the points table right now, the last game between India and New Zealand of Group B will decide who will be at the top since both teams have the same points. From group A, the chances of Australia's qualifications are quite high because they have won a game, and their last game is against Afghanistan. The chances of losing to Afghanistan are relatively low.
So, if Australia finishes in the top position of Group A and India loses against New Zealand, then there will be no finals between the Aussies and the Men in Blue. However, they will meet in the semi-finals. If India win against New Zealand, and Australia beat New Zealand in the semi-finals, then we can have an India vs Australia finals, provided India win the semi-finals. The entire process is quite simple, yet confusing until the top two teams are decided from both groups.
