Ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Canada and the USA are set to play their first match in the tournament. While India's game will start on June 5, their toughest match will be against Pakistan on June 9. Pakistan's former skipper Misbah-Ul-Haq picked up his favourite team ahead of the World Cup.

"The safest bet I think would be Australia. They know how to win. Whatever may be the condition. They come to Asia and win by playing with just one spinner. You can't write off Australia from any World Cup. The second team is very difficult. Humein Pakistan mein rehna hai, toh Pakistan ko back karna hoga. India ka team badi string hai, sara kuch hai," said Misbah-Ul-Haq.

Pakistan has a great team in this tournament and will definitely be looking forward to giving their best. The kind of bowling Shaheen Afridi is doing nowadays speaks volumes about the bowing quality. Hence, the India vs Pakistan match will be the game to watch out for in the marquee event.

'We have played good cricket in patches' - Skipper Babar Azam after T20I series against England

Pakistan has had a good series against the English team even if they lost two games and the other two were abandoned due to rain. The bowlers did an amazing job, while the batters lacked some game spirit. Skipper Babar Azam expressed his concern about the team at the post-match presentation and also mentioned that the team played some good cricket but in patches.

"England's bowling was very good. Hopefully we don't do this in the World Cup. We made a couple of changes due to the injuries. Our powerplay was good. We have played good cricket in patches," said Babar Azam at the post-match presentation.
