India's T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, revealed in a recent interview that the team sits together after every match and not in small groups. This ritual started at the T20 World Cup 2024, where they consciously made a decision to do the same. While discussing the decision, former India player Ajay Jadeja said that he was shocked by the revelation, as should be the case from the start since it's a team sport.

"That is what you expect in a team sport. I'm just surprised that players are talking about this even today and it has been rather a change in the team that players won't sit in small groups. I don't know, did you not all sit together in previous teams? But again, the captain mentioned that he brought this change, although this is old," said Ajay Jadeja.

Along with Ajay Jadeja, Ashish Nehra was also a part of the Sony Sports Hindi discussion panel, where he expressed his dissatisfaction with Suryakumar's dressing room revelation. Nehra said, "Didn't he say that this change happened during the World Cup? That happened only a month back."

India's ODI series against Sri Lanka to start on August 2

After a successful T20I stint, Gautam Gambhir and Co. will now eye the ODI series against Sri Lanka, which will start on August 2. Unlike the T20I, the ODI series will be played with senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who have travelled to Sri Lanka and started their practice.

As the Champions Trophy 2025 is approaching, this series will act as a practice match for both teams. Just like the T20I series, the ODI series might also hold some dramatic turns which the Indian fans will be looking forward to witnessing.
