Ahead of the game against Canada in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, team India's practice session at the Central Broward Regional Park was called off due to rain in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The condition of the city isn't looking good as it's under cloud cover and massive flooding. After the win against the USA, India qualified for the Super 8. The road to the next stage wasn't easy. However, the players performed well and, hence, achieved success.

The next few matches will be held in Florida, where the conditions don't seem to be good. The USA will be playing their next game against Ireland, which will lock their chances of qualifying for the Super 8. However, if the match gets canceled due to rain, both teams will get one point each, and hence, the USA will be qualified for the Super 8.

In this case, Pakistan will be disqualified from the tournament since the USA will reach five points, and even though the Men in Green won their last match, they will only get four points, which isn't sufficient. Keeping the weather conditions in mind, it's safe to say that the matches scheduled to be held in Florida will get canceled.

Time for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to fire-up

While India qualified for the Super 8, the top-order's performance in the last three games is the main worry. The management boldly decided to drop Yashasvi Jaiswal and send Virat Kohli as an opener alongside Rohit Sharma. So far, the decision has backfired on the team since none of the batters have performed well. In three matches, Kohli scored 1, 4, and 0.

If we talk about Rohit Sharma, he scored 52, 13, and 3 runs in the last three innings. Both of these players are the most experienced batters in the team, and even then, they have failed to score. It's high time for the players to start scoring since India will face Australia in the Super 8.
