The Afghanistan Cricket team have created history as they have successfully qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finals. They have had multiple hurdles in the group stage and Super 8 as well, however, they successfully dodged every hurdle and made their way to the semi-finals.
In the ongoing World Cup, Afghanistan defeated two giants of Cricket, New Zealand and Australia. Despite these significant achievements, their ultimate goal is not just to relish these big victories but to aim for the title of world champion in the shortest format of the game.

Meanwhile, the ruler of Afghanistan, Taliban, congratulated the skipper of the team Rashid Khan. Amir Khan Muttaqi, the foreign minister of the nation, talked to Rashid over a video call in which both of them can be heard talking in Pashto.

The path to becoming the champions is not going to be easy for Afghanistan as they will now face South Africa in the semi-final. The Proteas are unbeaten in the tournament so far, but there are several weaknesses in their team that the Afghans might have already identified.
If the Afghanistan team somehow manage to beat the Proteas, they will have to face either India or England in the final which will be more difficult for them.
