Team India under Rohit Sharma will begin their T20 World Cup campaign with yet another assault at the elusive ICC title. The men in blue will face strong opponents in the form of Ireland who aren’t pushovers by any imagination. The match on Wednesday night will be a huge opportunity for Rohit Sharma and his side to begin the campaign on a high. 

India (IND) played just one warm-up game and more or less ticked all the boxes. The biggest question for India will be who will open the batting. The inclusion of Yashasvi Jaiswal would mean that Shivam Dube will have to be sacrificed. One of the other questions is whether India will opt to field four spinners as Rohit Sharma had hinted earlier. 

Ireland (IRE) are in decent form and they have been one of the teams that have been known for their giant-killing acts. Paul Stirling and his mean are filled with natural stroke players who on their day can take apart any attack. The bowling too is strong with George Dockrell likely to be their main weapon with the ball in hand.

With the drop in pitches expected to aid the bowlers in the early phase of the game, one can expect the captain who wins the toss to bowl first. Seamers will get good help early with the ball and the nature of the wicket would mean that run-scoring will be difficult. One can expect yet another low-scoring affair on the cards.
