Here's what ICC said in the official statement

“T20 Inc and the ICC recognise that the pitches used so far at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium have not played as consistently as we would have all wanted,” said ICC in their official media statement.

“The world-class grounds team have been working hard since the conclusion of yesterday’s game to remedy the situation and deliver the best possible surfaces for the remaining matches,” the statement added further.

Notably, the high-octane clash of the tournament between the arch-rivals, India and Pakistan will be also played on the same surface in the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The last match played here was between India and Ireland, in which the former completely dominated the Irish team and bundled them out with a score of 96 runs.

The Indian pacers scalped a total of 8 wickets at this surface, including 3 wickets scalped by the star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, alongside two wickets each bagged by Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah. Besides these, Mohammed Siraj also picked one wicket for India.
