India's opening batter, Shikhar Dhawan, is seen undertaking a new role as the co-owner of the South Delhi Superstars, who won their first match against Purani Dilli 6 in the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024. The tournament kick-started on August 17th and has got instant limelight due to the presence of players like Rishabh Pant and Ayush Badoni, the star batter of LSG.

While Badoni was the captain of South Delhi Superstars, Pant was the captain of Purani Dilli 6. During the game, a beautiful moment happened when Shikhar Dhawan was being interviewed as the co-owner. However, when Pant walked in after throwing his wicket, Dhawan stopped and hugged him, congratulating him on his performance. The pictures went viral on social media instantly as the Delhi Boys are fan favourites, and seeing them together made everyone happy.

Rishabh Pant's participation in the DPL happened due to India's long break before the Bangladesh series. As per reports, Pant agreed to participate due to the 42-day break, and now, since he has made a comeback, he doesn't want to stay away from cricket. His dedication and love for the game is evident from his efforts to stay in touch with the game.

Everyone that comes back after a break is a little bit fresher: Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins, Australia's red-ball skipper, has taken a break of eight weeks to relax and prepare for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. He will return to play in the home series against Pakistan and then will play against India. He's eagerly waiting to win the series against India since they haven't won in the last decade.

"Everyone that comes back after a break is a little bit fresher, you never regret it. I've been bowling non-stop since the World Test Championship final, nearly 18 months ago. This gives me a good seven or eight weeks completely off bowling so the body can recover, then you start building up again for the summer. It means you can hopefully bowl for a little bit longer, maintain pace is a bit easier, make you less susceptible to injuries,” said Pat Cummins as quoted by Fox Sports.
