Indian cricket stars Hardik Pandya and Shashank Singh have made it to the top ten list of most searched athletes on Google. The 31-year-old has had a mixed bag year in 2024, both on and off the field. Hardik Pandya’s return to the Mumbai Indians didn’t go well, as his side finished last in the table. His equation with the fan base also took a huge tumble after replacing Rohit Sharma as the captain of the side.

Pandya was also in the news for his much-publicised divorce with Natasa Stankovic. Things took a turn for the better when Hardik Pandya played a key role in India’s T20 World Cup win. Since that triumph, the 31-year-old has seen his stocks grow as a cricketer with match-winning contributions.

Currently, Pandya is with Baroda playing the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament under brother Krunal Pandya’s captaincy. Mumbai Indians have confirmed that Hardik Pandya will continue to lead the side during the IPL 2025 season. The five-time winners have also retained Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma.

Punjab Kings star Shashank Singh is also part of the list

In the most searched athletes list on Google, Punjab Kings star Shashank Singh is positioned at nine. It is to be noted that Manchester City star and current Ballon d'Or winner Rodri is ranked at number 10. Both Indian stars are placed higher than the Spanish football star, who is currently out of football due to injury.

Shashank Singh had a breakout IPL 2024 season as he scored 354 runs from 14 games. The 33-year-old hit 2 fifties and scored his runs with an average of 44 and a strike rate of 164.65. Shashank first scored 61 not out in a close game against the Gujarat Titans, which the Punjab Kings won by 3 wickets with a ball to spare.

In the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Shashank scored 68 not out from 28 balls. Punjab Kings chased down the 262 run score with 8 wickets in hand and eight balls to play. Jonny Bairstow had scored a century, while Shashank hit 2 fours and eight huge sixes during his knock.

Olympic champion Imane Khelif is a top-rated athlete searched on Google. Mike Tyson is ranked at number 2, while Spanish football sensation Lamine Yamal is number 3. Jake Paul, Nico Williams, Simone Biles, and Scoie Scheer are the other names on the list.
