Kolkata Knight Riders' co-owner Shah Rukh Khan turned 59 years old on November 2, 2024. Several cricketers and Bollywood celebrities wished him on his birthday. Among them was India's head coach, Gautam Gambhir, who, in a fun way, described SRK and mentioned his age as 25 years old because of his energy and enthusiasm. Gambhir's message was quite heart-touching, showcasing the bond between them.
The head coach wrote, "Here’s to the man who keeps turning 25! Your energy, charisma & charm get more youthful every year! May you keep spreading love forever!" SRK's reply won hearts as he called Gambhir is 'My Captain forever'. Gambhir was the captain of the KKR side when they won the IPL Trophy in 2014.
"I’m 25?!? I thought I was younger…. Ha ha… thank you GG for being such an inspiration. And the honesty u bring to life. My Captain forever and more. Love u," wrote SRK while replying to Gambhir.
Gautam Gambhir's contribution to the KKR side is immense, as he helped them win the trophy in IPL 2024. After 10 years, KKR won the finals under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy, but a part of the appreciation is given to Gambhir for his unforgettable efforts as the mentor.
Gautam Gambhir under trouble after India's series whitewash against New Zealand
India's head coach, Gautam Gambhir, had a brilliant start to his coaching career with a win against Sri Lanka in the T20I series. However, things turned around in the ODI format when India lost the series against Sri Lanka, which was quite embarrassing. As per reports, the Board is considering taking away a few perks given to the head coach as he took on the responsibility of the team.
