Indian cricket star Sanju Samson was the centre of attraction when he revealed the logos for all the teams taking part in the Kerala Cricket League T20 tournament. The tournament is to be held from the 2nd of September to the 19th. All of the matches will be played at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

Kerala Cricket Association source said “Fans can look forward to two thrilling matches per day, including the day and night matches. The league will be officially launched by legendary actor and KCL brand ambassador Mohanlal on 31st August at noon at the Hyatt Regency”

Some of the top talent from Kerala will be playing in the tournament. The Auction is set to take place soon and it will be broadcast live on Star Sports on TV and on FanCode for the people who want to watch it on OTT and Website.

Six Icon players named for KCL T20

Kerala Cricket League T20 will have six teams aiming for the trophy. The teams are Trivandrum Royals, Aries Kollam Sailors, Allepey Ripples, Kochi Blue Tigers, Thrisur Titans, and Calicut Gobsters.

There are a total of 6 Icon players being named for the league. Abdul Basith, Sachin Baby, Mohammad Azharudeen, Basil Thampi, Vishnu Vinod, and Rohan Kunnummal. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson isn’t expected to play in the first season of the league.

Sanju Samson could be in the fray to make a return if the Indian team management decides to make changes. The men in blue are coming back from a humiliating 2-0 series loss to Sri Lanka in the ODI series.

The form shown by Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul could prompt the Indian selectors to have a rethink over Sanju Samson. The 29-year-old wasn’t picked for the ODI series against Sri Lanka and his form during the T20I series also wasn’t that good.

India’s next assignment will be against England once they come back from the Australian tour. This will be the only tournament before the start of the Champions Trophy 2025 tournament.
