India's former player, Dinesh Karthik, is set to play in the upcoming SA20 season for the Paarl Royals. Karthik will become the first Indian player to represent in the 3rd season of the SA20. After becoming the brand ambassador of the SA20 tournament along with former RCB mate AB de Villiers, Karthik will now be playing in the tournament, which is a great honour for the former player.

"First thing, the quality of the competition; the kind of players we find domestically, decides the strength of the competition. And it's been arguably one of the best going around. The way South African cricket has benefitted from it is there for everybody to see," said Dinesh Karthik.

In IPL, Karthik was a part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team. He retired in the 17th edition of the tournament after giving his best in the tournament. RCB was knocked out of the IPL 2024 in the eliminator. He is a cricketer-turned-commentator who loves voicing out his opinion during international games and series.
