England will take on South Africa in the 11th game of the Champions Trophy 2025. South Africa have unofficially qualified for the semi-finals, thanks to the abandonment of the Australia vs. Afghanistan game. Now, South Africa just has to win the game against England to qualify for the semi-finals. Meanwhile, England are out of the tournament after losing two back-to-back games in the tournament. After a disappointing outing, Jos Buttler, England's captain, stepped down from the captaincy position. The upcoming game will be his last as captain. The board will keep a close eye on the performances of the players to hand over the responsibility of the team.
Here are the three batters to watch out for in the South Africa vs. England clash:
1. Jos Buttler
England skipper Jos Buttler will play his last game against South Africa as their captain. It will be an emotional game for the player but he would want to play well and depart on a high note. Buttler is an exceptional batter. It was the bowling unit, which was a disappointment throughout the tournament. Buttler batted well in the two games but failed to convert his start, which was disappointing.
2. Temba Bavuma
South Africa's captain, Temba Bavuma, was exceptional in the first game, hitting a half-century. He made a terrific partnership with Ryan Rickelton in the powerplays, which helped South Africa get to a good total. Hence, it will be interesting to see him bat in the upcoming game against England. Their bowling lineup is weak, so Bavuma would enjoy batting against them.
3. Aiden Markram
South Africa's middle-order batter, Aiden Markram, is an impressive player. He also scored a half-century in the previous game against Afghanistan. Moreover, he is a reliable player who has a high chance of going big against England. A fun is awaited for the audience at the National Stadium, Karachi.
