Preview

It is going to be a Royal Saturday for the fans of Indian Premier League 2024 season. Rajasthan Royals will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a huge game In Jaipur. It is a key game for RCB in particular as they have lost their last two games. These reversals have left RCB in the bottom half of the table along with Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) are second in the table and are yet to lose a game this season. With 3 wins out of three the Sanju Samson-led side are doing well. At the early stages of the season, the Men in Pink look one of the favourites to make it to the play-off stages of the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are eighth in the table with just one win from the four games played this year. Apart from Virat Kohli none of the RCB batters have been able to put a substantial score. Even the normally dependable bowling of RCB hasn’t been up to the mark during IPL 2024.

Top players for RR vs RCB Dream 11 Match

Top Players – Rajasthan Royals

Riyan Parag – Young Riyan Parag has taken IPL 2024 by storm with his newfound attitude and run-scoring. The right-handed batter scored a composed half-century to help RR win their last game versus Mumbai Indians. One of the most striking aspects of Riyan Parag has been his big-hitting skills which will delight many Indian fans.

Trent Boult – New Zealand speedster Trent Boult left his former side Mumbai Indians reeling with his bowling. The early wickets of Rohit Sharma, Naman Dhir, and Dewald Brevis more or less sealed the deal for his side. The 34-year-old has yet again shown why he is the most devastating new-ball bowler in IPL history.

Top Players – Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Virat Kohli – Former RCB skipper Virat Kohli has been in terrific form with the bat since his return to cricket. The 35-year-old hasn’t put a foot wrong and has been one of the top scorers during this season. RCB will bank on Kohli’s form to bail them out of the troubled campaign they have been having so far.

Dinesh Karthik – In what is likely to be his final campaign, Dinesh Karthik is leaving fans with some nostalgia. The 38-year-old has been one of the key batters for RCB in the death overs and has already won them a game against PBKS this season.

RR vs RCB Must Picks for Dream 11 Cricket

Sanju Samson – Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has seen his bat go quiet in the last two games. The 29-year-old played a few classy shots in the game against Mumbai before gifting his wicket to Akash Madhwal. The selectors will keep a close eye on Sanju Samson for the next few weeks during the IPL 2024 season.

Cameron Green – In a season of troubles for RCB, the form of Cameron Green has been a respite. The Australian star has chipped in with crucial wickets and posted some handy scores on the board. Faf Du Plessis though will hope that Cameron Green can post a big score on the board and get RCB out of the rot they find themselves in.

Head to Head

RR vs RCB Risky Captaincy Choices

Ravichandran Ashwin – Indian veteran star Ravichandran Ashwin hasn’t enjoyed his time with the ball this year in IPL 2024. The 37-year-old has managed just a single scalp this season which is a below performance for a talent with the caliber of Ashwin.

Mohammed Siraj – Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj hasn’t been in the best of form with the ball in the early phase of IPL 2024. The 30-year-old’s early control and burst with the new ball has been missing. This has come to haunt RCB as they have struggled with the new ball in the powerplay.

Players you should avoid

Jos Buttler – England’s Jos Buttler has seen his deteriorating IPL form raise its ugly head once again. The 34-year-old has been undergoing a lean patch since last year and this has seen RR suffer at the top of the order.

Glenn Maxwell – After an amazing time in India during the 2023 ODI World Cup, RCB fans were hopeful of Glenn Maxwell’s form. The 35-year-old though has failed to put the huge numbers on the board that he is known for with the bat.
