Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who is missing the first Test match against Australia starting on November 22, will join the team around November 24. According to reports, Rohit will join the Indian team in Australia during the first game, cheering up the boys from the dugout. He is set to miss the first game on account of the birth of his second child.

The excitement of the series is on the rise as India will be playing their second game in Test cricket in Perth, where Australia haven't lost a single game yet. Jasprit Bumrah will captain the Indian team and is super excited for his new role. Bumrah is an attacking wicket-taking bowler who knows how to get wickets at regular intervals.

The captain will have the support of many players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj, who will most likely be in the playing XI. Australia are a tricky team and when it comes to home conditions, they are certainly the best.

They have a good home record, which is another huge problem for India. However, the visitors have been dominating the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 for a long time now and will look to do the same in the upcoming series.

The Aussies prefer to attack the leadership: Ravi Shastri

Former head coach of India, Ravi Shastri, revealed that the Australian team loves to attack the opponent team's captain, and hence, Bumrah will be under their attack. While Bumrah is a smart player who can handle sledging on the field, the Aussies will not make it easy for him throughout the series. The attack more or less will be on the entire Indian players as well.

"The Aussies know what they're up against. They might want to come after him, but they know he'll come after them as well. The important thing is, if he's calm and gets support from his other bowlers, I think he'll be fine. He'll be absolutely fine. But there's no question the pressure is on him," said Ravi Shastri as quoted by India Today.
