The trio could be seen having a fun time together as they let their hair down and were seen dancing. Pant has shared a great relationship with MS Dhoni and had made his debut towards the end of former skipper’s playing career. The young wicketkeeper and batter has also been close to Suresh Raina, with the latter giving valuable tips to Pant.

Rishabh Pant became the costliest player in IPL history when he was purchased by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 27 Crores. The former Delhi Capitals star will lead the side after being announced the skipper by LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka few weeks ago. Dhoni on the other hand is set to play his 18th and possibly his final season of IPL.

R. Ashwin hits out at Apex Cricket Body for their choice of player of the tournament

Former India spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin has hit out at the Apex Cricket Body for giving the player of the tournament award to Rachin Ravindra. The 38-year-old said that Varun Chakravarthy should have been given the award. Chakravarthy picked nine wickets from three games which also included a fifer.

Ashwin speaking on his YouTube channel said, “Whatever said and done, the Player of the Tournament, in my view, was Varun Chakravarthy. He didn't play the entire tournament. He was such a big difference. If Varun Chakaravarthy wasn't there, I think this game would have been very different. He brought that X-factor and the novelty factor. If I were the judge, I would have given it to Varun. He was the biggest difference."

The former India star also added, “Just look at how he dismissed Glenn Phillips. He wasn't covering the stumps, so Varun went wide of the crease and bowled that googly. In my view, Varun has to be the Player of the Series. The award should be given to someone who made the biggest difference. Varun Chakaravarthy deserves the Player of the Series award."
