Dinesh Karthik's love for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is never-ending. For the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Karthik has been appointed as RCB's batting coach and mentor. He'll be the strength and support of the team in the next edition, which will be great news for the fans. Karthik has been a part of the Royals from 2022 and contributed to their playoffs in that particular season.

He was an ideal finisher for the team, and he played some really impressive knocks while taking the team forward. In the last three seasons of the tournament, Karthik scored 796 runs as a finisher, which is excellent. After RCB's exit from the eliminator in the previous IPL 2024, he announced his retirement from cricket.

He deserved a better farewell, but RCB failed to qualify for the qualifier 2. Currently, in the T20 World Cup 2024, Karthik is in the ICC's commentators panel. Karthik has represented India in 180 games across three formats, scoring 3463 runs with one Test hundred and 17 half-centuries.

India lifts the T20 World Cup 2024 after 17 years

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 came to an end, with India lifting the trophy after 17 years of wait. This will be stored in every Indian's core memory since the team has won an ICC trophy after 13 years. India beat South Africa by a mere margin of seven runs in Barbados.

India scored 176 runs in the first innings, which the Proteas failed to chase. This was the first time South Africa qualified for an ICC trophy final. They had a brilliant tournament as they were unbeaten and played like the real champions. Moreover, India were also unbeaten when they entered the finals. With the win, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja retired from T20Is.
