In the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, Rajasthan Royals (RR) became the first team to win the DLF IPL trophy under the leadership of Shane Warne. In the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Australia legendary spinner Shane Warne was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR). In the first season of IPL, we won the IPL title with Rajasthan Royals. He was captain leading from the front throughout the 2008 season. In 2008 he played 15 matches and took 19 wickets. He has captained Rajasthan Royals for 4 seasons in IPL. Overall, he played 55 IPL matches and took 57 wickets. Later after taking retirement in was named as coach for Rajasthan Royals. He was a true captain as he always used to bring out better quantities from players.
Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan was the Man of the Match in the final of IPL 2008. In the IPL final against Chennai Super Kings, he scored 56 runs and made sure his team won the match. In 2008 he played 16 IPL matches and scored 435 runs. His hard-hitting batting style was perfectly used by Shane Warne. During that season he holds the record for scoring the fastest IPL hundred against Mumbai Indians. He achieved this feat in just 37 balls.
Shane Watson

Another Australian all-rounder Shane Watson played an important role in the 2008 IPL season as Rajasthan Royals won the first IPL title. In 2008 he played 15 IPL matches and scored 472 runs with the bat and he also took 17 wickets and helped the team with batting and bowling. During Rajasthan Royals batting he scored rapid runs.
Ajinkya Rahane

In 2011 Rajasthan Royals picked Mumbai batter Ajinkya Rahane in the IPL auction. Since then he has scored 3098 runs for the team. While playing for Rajasthan Royals he scored 2 hundreds one came in 2012 and the second one came in 2019. He was the top run-getter of the team until Sanju Samson broke his record. Ajinkya Rahane was also named as captain of the team. In 2018 Rajasthan Royals made into IPL playoffs under his leadership skills.
Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson started his IPL with Rajasthan Royals in 2013. Due to poor performance, he was released from the team. In 2018 he returned to the team. While playing for Rajasthan Royals he scored 2849 runs with an average of 29.68. So far in his IPL career, he has struck 3 centuries. In 2022 he broke the record of Ajinkya Rahane to become the top-scorer for Rajasthan Royals. In the 2021 season, he guided Rajasthan Royals to the final after 2008.
