Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant recently met a very young fan who had a special request in mind. In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, one very young fan was asked what will he ask Risbabh Pant if the two meet. The young one innocently replied “Pizza”.
Pant, was shown the video and it brought an instant smile onto the face of the 27-year-old and said “Pizza Khila do yaar isko” (Someone get him his pizza). LSG skipper was seen giving the fan in question a box of his favorite pizza and asked “Are you happy now?” The youngster who had earlier got his bat signed by Pant, seemed overjoyed with his interaction with his idol.
In the video, Pant could also be heard saying, “No thank you for me?” to which the youngster was quick to respond with his 'thanks'. The fan also showed of his batting skills to which Pant asked “You are also leftie?” It was a fun filled encounter and showed the mass appeal that Pant has amongst all age groups.
Mayank Yadav a boost for LSG ahead of next game
The next game for Lucknow Super Giants is against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. Pacer Mayank Yadav has joined the camp after missing the last few months of cricketing action due to injury. Yadav is the second pacer to return from injury after Akash Deep had made his comeback post missing few games of the season.
Justin Langer who is the coach of LSG had earlier praised the role of National Cricket Academy in helping Mayank Yadav getting fit. Langer said, “He's up, he's keen to get going. He bowled really well in Bangalore yesterday at the NCA. I think you have another couple of bowls and hopefully... NCA, to their credit, have obviously done a very good job because they've got Avesh Khan back for us, they've got our Akash Deep back for us. So, we really appreciate the work they're doing to get the boys back playing and now hopefully Mayank as well."
It is unlikely that Mayank Yadav will start right away as there is a fitness test that has to be performed. If Yadav does get passed fit, Pant and his team will get a massive shot in the arm as far as the second half of the IPL 2025 season is concerned. LSG are currently fifth in the table with eight points from seven games.
