With the clock ticking for the start of the second Test match in Adelaide, the pitch has come under focus. Revsportz has reported that the pitch has a firm look to it, with the pace bowlers set to play a major role. According to reports by Revsportz, the playing surface had a huge tinge of grass on it.

The report further stated that the curators have worked hard on the playing surface which will keep the surface firm. With the natural swing on offer under lights one can expect the bowlers to trouble the batters during the Twilight period. Teams batting during the final play session have found it tough to negotiate the moving ball.

Australia were dealt a huge blow when it emerged that Josh Hazlewood is out of the game. The 33-year-old has suffered a side strain, which could potentially see him miss the entire series. Veteran pacer Scott Boland is likely to make his return to the playing XI, with Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett called up as cover.

Rohit Sharma speaks after win over PMXI in the warm-up match

Team India beat Prime Minister’s XI by 6 wickets in the warm-up game that was played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. Rohit Sharma came out to bat at number 4 in the batting order and was out for just three runs. Sam Konstas scored a brilliant ton while Shubman Gill scored fifty runs for India.

Speaking at the end of the game, the Indian skipper said, “The outcome was fantastic. We got what we wanted as a group. But we were a bit unlucky as an entire day was lost due to rain and we didn’t get a chance to play the whole match. But whatever we got, we tried to make the most of it.”

The 37-year-old Indian star also added, “We love the fans coming to see us. There has never been a time when we came to this part of the world and were not backed and supported by fans. It is nice to see their support for us”. The second test begins on 6th December to be played at the famous Adelaide Oval.
