The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday (July 5) announced an action-packed schedule for their men's team for the 2024-25 international cricket season. Bangladesh, England and West Indies will visit Pakistan for the Test series, while New Zealand and South Africa will arrive for a tri-series.
The new season commences with a two-match home Test series against the Bangla Tigers on August 21. The ODI series, which begins on February 8 in Multan, will play a crucial role in shaping the Men in Green for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. Notably, Pakistan will host the marquee event from February 19 to March 19.
The away season will begin on November 4 as the Pakistan team heads to Australia for a three-match ODI and T20I series. Their next tour is to Zimbabwe, where they will play three ODIs and three T20I series.
The 2024-25 season will conclude with another multi-format tour to South Africa, which will include three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests. Notably, all the Test matches in the home and away season will be part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.
“The visits by five top cricket-playing nations in the lead-up to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, followed by seven countries participating in the event proper over the next eight months, also highlight Pakistan’s standing and stature in international cricket. We deeply value the participation of these teams and players, who will bring immense talent and competitive spirit to our fields,” said PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi while announcing the schedule.
