Records are meant to be broken and legends break their own records. The same instance was seen in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) where pacer Mayank Yadav broke his own record. In his debut match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Mayank recorded a speed of 155.8 kmph, however, in the match against RCB, he bowled at a speed of 156.7 kmph. 

Moreover, against RCB, he was a different beast as he dismissed three best batters of RCB, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar. He finished the RCB's batting line-up with his amazing line and length while taking three wickets by giving away just 14 runs. This was just his second match and he bowled like a maestro. 

LSG has found the future bowling star of Indian cricket provided Mayank maintains his consistency. This match was even more special for him as he dismissed two great batters and was economical at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Moreover, for his brilliant performance (3/14), he won his second consecutive 'Player of the Match' award.

Mayank Yadav, LSG's bowler, won two consecutive POTM awards for his excellent bowling in the matches against PBKS and RCB. Apart from this, his increase in speed and consistency in maintaining the line and length while bowling has kept him in the limelight. While talking at the post-match presentation, he opened up about his bowling and his prime goal.

"Feel really good, two Player of the Match awards in two matches. I am happier that we won both matches. My goal is to play for the country. I feel this is just the start. I enjoyed Cameron Green's wicket the most. There are a lot of factors to bowl quick - diet, sleep, training. I am focusing a lot on my diet and recovery - ice bath," said Mayank at the post-match presentation.
