Ben Stokes pulls out of IPL 2025

England's red-ball captain, Ben Stokes, has pulled out his name from the upcoming IPL 2025 to manage his workload. He last played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2023 and was brought at a whopping price of INR 16.25 crores. However, he didn't play the entire season due to a knee injury and also missed the IPL 2024 due to workload and fitness.

As per the new IPL rules, he might also be banned from the cash-rich tournament next season as well. The IPL committee hasn't yet provided any official information on the topic. The player wants to focus on his Test career, which seems fair since the Three Lions play a lot of red-ball series throughout the year.
