For the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Bangladesh has released their squad with Najmul Hossain Shanto as their captain. Earlier this year, Shanto was declared the captain in all the formats of the game and hence is set to take responsibility in the upcoming marquee event as well. As the deadline to make changes in the teams is May 25, most of the teams have released their squad

One new addition to the team is their prime all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who has returned to T20Is after quite a long time. He was also included for two games in the Bangladesh squad in the 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Moreover, Bangladesh shocked the entire world with their terrific performance as they won the series, 4-1. Shakib performed well with a four-wicket haul in the fourth game.

'We have prepared well for the WC...' - Najmul Hossain Shanto's confidence in the team

After winning the series against Zimbabwe, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto revealed that they are fully prepared for the upcoming T20 World Cup as a team. Since the series went well and in their favour, the skipper is fully confident in their team. Since all the players are in great form, they'll look forward to having a great tournament. 

"The way we played this series, we can improve on a lot of areas. We didn't start well. There was an oppurtunity for us. We have prepared well for the WC. Another three games for us to prepare," said Shanto at the post-match presentation.
