Suryakumar Yadav is back in the fold for Mumbai for the big game against Maharashtra on Friday. The defending champions had started their season with a loss to Baroda in their opening game of the season. Mohit Avasthi got Mumbai the next two wickets dismissing Siddesh Veer for 11 and Bawne for 17. Royston Dias used good swing and movement to grab two wickets of Satyajeet Bachav for 8 and top scorer Nikhil Naik for 38. Maharashtra’s wicketkeeper scored his runs off 32 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes.
Azim Kazi was not out on 36 off 79 balls as Shams Mulani picked the final 3 wickets. Mumbai came out to bat with aggressive intent as they reached 14/0 from 2 overs at the time of writing.
