Mukesh Kumar shares cryptic message after getting snubbed for England tour

Two days prior to India's first Test match against England, on June 18, fast bowler Mukesh Kumar's cryptic Instagram story went viral.  Using social media, Mukesh stated, "Karma is unforgiving," without providing any background information on what had enraged him.

The pacer's post, which was made only one day after India added Harshit Rana as a cover for the Test team, was promptly noticed by fans. Hit-the-deck bowler Rana joined the team late.  He was picked before the Bengal pacer, who faced England at home in 2024 in his final Test match. "Karma bides its time. You will always have to watch out. Karma is unforgiving and always gets payback," Mukesh wrote on his Instagram story on Wednesday evening, June 18.

Fans speculated that Mukesh Kumar's social media outburst was caused by his anger about the England tour snub. Perhaps believing that he might have been helpful in English circumstances, Mukesh was well-known for his ability to seam the ball.  Some of the fans expressed sympathy for Mukesh's predicament and talked about the predicament of the domestic players who rose to prominence during the Ranji Trophy.

Fans support Mukesh Kumar for this statement

One of the fans supported him and expressed his thoughts on Twitter, "You can really feel Mukesh Kumar’s frustration. He’s toiled hard, picking up around 44 wickets in his last 11 domestic games. Meanwhile, someone like Harshit Rana, with barely 13 domestic matches under his belt, gets retained in the squad. It makes you wonder, What’s the point of grinding in domestic cricket if selections don’t reflect it?"

Throughout his career, the Bengal seamer has participated in three Test matches: one each in India, South Africa, and the West Indies. Since India's home series against England, in which he played just one game in Vizag and did not perform well, he has not been involved in the action. Mukesh Kumar played three Test matches for India and took seven wickets.
