In a tweet posted on his official 'X' account today, former India captain, Mohammed Azharuddin criticized the Hyderabad Cricket Association for the facilities or lack thereof at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Azharduddin criticized the Hyderabad Cricket Association for failing to provide basic amenities. He cited issues like poor toilet hygiene, inadequate water supply, and unauthorized access to the grounds. Additionally, he highlighted the problem of black marketing of tickets while association members were denied access. He further alleged that the association itself was behind on payments, including electricity bills. Azharduddin's overall criticism centred around the mismanagement and lack of improvement within the association.

"Hyderabad's IPL 2024 matches suffer from ongoing issues: bad toilets, inadequate water facilities, and unauthorized entry persist under HCA's watch. Critics seem blind to these shortcomings. Members are denied tickets while the black market thrives. Even CSK management struggles and has not been given passes for today’s match. Electricity cut due to unpaid dues. The APEX council of HCA promised reform but delivered only chaos. Where's the change?," he wrote while tagging Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

SRH to host Defending Champions

Today, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad host the Chennai Super Kings in what will be the 18th game of the season. The Super Kings have won two out of their three games thus far while the Sunrisers have won just one out of their three. They lost their previous game against the Gujarat Titans and will be looking to make a strong comeback in today's encounter. Their home ground will give them solace as it was at this venue that they recently created history by scoring the highest total in the history of the IPL

Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, come into tonight's match after a loss to the Delhi Capitals. However, fans were energized by MS Dhoni's powerful batting display in that game, and they'll be hoping for another strong performance from their talisman this evening.
