Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced Mike Hesson as the national team's head coach in white-ball cricket on Tuesday, May 13. He will take charge of the team from May 26. The position for the head coach was opened after Gary Kirsten resigned from the role last year. Hesson holds good experience in the field and is currently the head coach of Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Before that, he led New Zealand to the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2015 finals and served as the head coach of Kenya. He also worked as a support staff member with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hesson comes from a good coaching background and hence, will have a good time with Pakistan in the future.

PSL to resume on May 17
PCB informed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 will resume on May 17, with the final scheduled to be played on May 25. Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced the dates on Twitter. The tournament was halted due to the tensions between India and Pakistan at the border. Now that everything seems to be fine, the tournament will restart soon.
"HBL PSL X picks up from where it left off... 6 teams, 0 fear. Get ready for 8 thrilling matches starting 17th May, leading up to the Grand Final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams!" wrote Naqvi on Twitter.
