Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana has exposed India’s weakness on turning tracks after the final ODI on Wednesday. Team India lost their first ODI series against the Sri Lankans after their 110-run loss in Colombo. Dunith Wellalage was the best bowler as he picked a famous fifer to lead his team to a huge win.

Speaking to the media at the end of the game, Theekshana said “They (India) usually play on good wickets and small boundaries in India. We knew playing in Premadasa, if there's little bit turn, we can take advantage because we have good spinners,"

The home side had batted first and scored 248 runs on the board. Avishka Fernando was the best batter with 96 while Kusal Mendis had scored 59. For India Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with 35 runs while Washington Sundar had scored 30 batting down the order.

The entire Sri Lankan team was happily celebrating the huge series win over India on Wednesday. After a tie in the first match, the home team won the next two games and took the series with a 2-0 margin.

Maheesh Theekshana while addressing the media also said “For me, it's a confidence booster as a team. We lost the T20 series 3-0. The whole team was disappointed and we took it as a motivation. Very happy to play the last game and win the series after 1997. It's a huge victory for us and I am really proud to be part of the XI,"

Spin played a huge part in the series win for the home team. Jeffrey Vandersay was the star during the second ODI on Sunday. The right-arm leg-spin bowler picked 6/33 to help the Lankans win by 32 runs. On Wednesday it was Dunith Wellage who did the star turn with the ball.

“Rohit came into bat and he attacked me, Asitha got a good start, came back and got Shubman, and then Wellalage was brilliant, Vandersay did a great job ... Hasaranga in the first game, Akila bowled economically in both the games. I wanted to bowl more dot balls. It was a team effort. All the players contributed, that's why we ended up winning 2-0” Maheesh Theekshana added
