LSG vs RCB dream 11
The Match 59 of the Indian Premier League 2025 is all set to take place on 9th May, 2025, between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. RCB already have 16 points in 11 matches and need just one win to qualify for the playoffs.
LSG are in seventh place in the points table with 10 points in 11 matches. Even if they win all of their remaining matches, there is no certainty of their qualification, as their fate will depend on other teams' match results. However, they would like to beat RCB to boost their confidence for the upcoming matches.
In the previous encounter against PBKS, LSG lost by 37 runs. Punjab Kings batted first and scored 236 runs with the help of Prabhsimran Singh's magnificent knock of 91 runs. Chasing the target, LSG's top order failed horribly as they lost their three wickets on the score of just 27 runs. Skipper Rishabh Pant continued his poor form and departed after scoring just 18 runs. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad's late assault helped LSG score 199 runs, but they fell short of 37 runs and lost the game.
The previous match played by Royal Challengers Bengaluru was against Chennai Super Kings on 3rd May in Bengaluru. It was a high-scoring thriller as RCB scored 213 after batting first with the help of Romario Shepherd's 14-ball half-century. CSK started the chase very well with a 50-run opening partnership between Ayush Mhatre and Shaik Rasheed. Later, Mhatre stitched a 114-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja, but it went in vain as the Men in Yellow lost the match by just two runs.

The surface at the Ekana Cricket Stadium favours fast bowlers to get extra bounce. However, as the match progresses, the pitch tends to slow down, and it starts assisting spinners as well. Another thing which is worth noting about the Ekana Stadium is that the boundaries are bigger there. Despite all these difficulties, batters can still score easily because of the extra bounce, which helps the batters to score runs without using much power.
