All five teams have submitted their retention list ahead of the WPL Auction 2026. Mumbai Indians Women and Delhi Capitals Women have jointly retained five players each, which is the most for a team. While RCB Women retained four of their players, Gujarat Giants retained just two overseas players, and UP Warriorz retained a solitary player, which excluded their skipper, Alyssa Healy.

RCB retained Smriti Mandhana for a price of INR 3.5 crores. Richa Ghosh is their second retention, who will stay with RCB Women for a price of INR 2.75 crores. While Ellyse Perry was retained for INR 2 crores, Shreyanka Patil has stayed with RCB for INR 60 lakhs.

In a surprising move, MI retained Nat Sciver-Brunt as their primary player for INR 3.5 crores over the skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, who was retained for INR 2.5 crores. While Hayley Matthews was retained for INR 1.75 crores, Amanjot Kaur and G Kamalini were retained for INR 1 crore and 50 lakhs, respectively.

Gujarat Giants retained only two players, UP Warriorz release everyone except Shweta Sehrawat

DC Women also retained 5 players, much like the 2-time champions. Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Marizanne Kapp, and Annabel Sutherland were all retained for INR 2.2 crores each. Niki Prasad has stayed with the DC Women for INR 50 lakhs.

Gujarat Giants retained the Australian duo of Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney for INR 3.5 and 2.5 crores, respectively. In a surprising move, UP Warriorz only retained Shweta Sehrawat and excluded Alyssa Healy, who was their skipper. The Auction for the WPL 2026 will take place on the 27th of November.
