Prudential World Cup 1983 - Kapil Dev (303 runs)
Kapil Dev was India's best performer in their massive World Cup win in 1983. The former Indian skipper scored 303 runs in 6 innings at an average of 60.60 and a strike rate of over 108, including an all-timer 175 against Zimbabwe.
ICC Champions Trophy 2002 - Virender Sehwag (271 runs)
India didn't outright win the Champions Trophy in 2002, as they shared it with Sri Lanka. In the tournament, which India jointly won, Virender Sehwag was the leading run-scorer. The Indian opener scored 271 runs in the tournament and even contributed with the ball.

ICC World T20 2007 - Gautam Gambhir (237 runs)
Five years later, India took part in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup and won it after a heartbreaking campaign in the ODI World Cup. The current Indian Head Coach, Gautam Gambhir, was the leading run scorer, who scored 237 runs, including 75 in the final.
ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2011 - Sachin Tendulkar (482 runs)
Probably India's best win since the 1983 World Cup was winning the first home World Cup in 2011. Sachin Tendulkar, in his final attempt, claimed the glory in style as he ended the tournament as India's highest run-scorer and the second highest overall after Tillakaratne Dilshan.

ICC Champions Trophy 2013 - Shikhar Dhawan (363 runs)
India's first outright win in the Champions Trophy came in 2013. One of the key players in the campaign for India was Shikhar Dhawan. The Southpaw scored 363 runs and finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer.
ICC World T20 2024 - Rohit Sharma (257 runs)
India struggled to win an ICC Title for 11 years from 2013 to 2024. The wait ended when they won the ICC World T20 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. He led from the front and scored 257 runs, including a sensational 92 against Australia.

In under a year, India also won the Champions Trophy in March 2025. Shreyas Iyer played the key role in India's glory, scoring 243 runs in 6 innings.
